Peel The Map is not just an app for organizing your own travels, but also a social platform to connect with fellow travelers. You can follow users with similar interests, explore their shared maps, and discover new places to add to your collection.

Every user has a profile with a username, photo, bio, and travel statistics. You can customize your profile from the Profile screen, choosing a photo and username that represents you. The profile also shows your follower and following counts.

You can follow other users to stay updated on their travels. The follow system lets you manage public and private accounts (with pending requests for private profiles). Data syncs instantly for complete reliability.

The shared map view lets you explore another traveler's map in detail. You can view pins in list or map mode, filter them by tags, sort by name, date, or proximity, and view attached photos. It's a fantastic way to discover new places through the eyes of fellow travelers.

When exploring a shared map and finding a pin you like, you can save it to your library with a single tap. The pin is copied with all its information (name, description, photos, coordinates) and you can edit it or add it to your collections.

The Search screen lets you find users by username. Additionally, a suggestion system recommends popular travelers and users with similar interests, helping you expand your travel network.

You can set your profile to private, requiring users to send a follow request to see your map. You can also block specific users to prevent them from interacting with your profile. Notifications alert you of new follow requests and acceptances.
